VISUAL ARTIST

Daria Huck

"What does it mean to belong—to a place, to communities, to the many selves within us that feel too fragmented to ever become one?

This is what I explore through ink and lens, living out of one suitcase, without a fixed home."

Work

Homesick explores displacement, loss, and the enduring longing for return. The artist revisits childhood landscapes in Chelyabinsk, in Russia’s Ural region, decades after migration, held through memory. Black and white photography sets past and present into dialogue, tracing the distance between experience and recollection.
